The Color Science Lab is a new company with a mission to advance the field of digital imaging for millions of people. We aim to make novel imaging applications that will empower consumers to manipulate their photos and videos in wonderful new ways.
We’re looking for a software engineer with a real passion for digital video, photography and developing realtime image processing algorithms. If you have an interest in these fields and developing mobile-first applications then this is a great opportunity to join and help shape a new company.
You will need to be self-motivated, a quick learner and up for tackling a wide range of challenges, whether that be developing UI controllers, or color processing shaders for a GPU. You’ll love solving problems and coming up with elegant solutions.
Help architect and build a mobile-first digital media editing application.
Write clear, easily readable code that others adapt and build on.
Write efficient GPU shaders and algorithms for image processing and drawing UI elements.
Research new ways to improve and advance how people interact with and manipulate their visual media.
Review and update existing code to a modern graphics architecture.
We’re looking for someone that loves digital imaging and the challenge of writing software that allows people to create beautiful videos and photos. An interest in post-production technology would be greatly beneficial. As would an active interest in photography and videography.
Experience & Education:
A bachelor's degree (or masters) in Computer Science or equivalent.
Preferably some experience with GPU architecture, shading languages, and best practices.
Experience with Metal or OpenGL.
iOS development experience a plus.
